BURIAL MOUND OF ARMS

Lyrics (English)

[Intro 1]

My name is Inu-oh!
This is Inu-oh's
"Burial Mound of Arms"
Here we go !

The year is 1184.
The battle of Ichi-no-tani.
Tadanori of the Heike clan lost his arm at the elbow...
and they took his head too !

[Intro 2]

His arm was taken, and so was his head.
Tadanori led a cavalry of 100
But every one of them turned and ran!

[Verse 1]

That's right!A varied crew of 100
Yet every single one of them fled for the shore
No.. it isn't true.. Look over here..
At this persimmon tree
The three is bare now
But one day fruit will grow
Who fled by ship!?
And where are the Heike troops!?
Where?

[Break]

Ayo!
Woo-oh!
Let me see your hands!
Raise your fists!

[Verse 2]

1000 warriors in the water,
Trying to board a fleeing ship... We're going down!
They chopped off the arms that clung to the sides of the ship!

But their cruelty was in vain
The sea had the ship in its grasp
The many arms that reached up
Were cut off by those above them
Let go! Don't let go!
All that was left of the soldiers
Were just their clinging hands
and nothing else!

[Verse 3]

To think that Tadanori's guards had turned and run..
Yet they turned back! They hurried back to Lord Tadanori
But they were already too late
They found no head nor a body
Only his right arm remained!
Unable to save their Lord
All they could do was gather up
The countless arms that washed up in sorrow And mourn the souls that had been lost
They begged the dead for forgiveness
But how could they ever redeem themselves?!
Over the loss of arms of the 1000 fallen soldiers
And the arm of Lord Tadanori!

They built a burial for the arms
And prayed the dead would find peace...
Clap!

[Outro]

From the persimmon trees branches grew 1000 arms!
This is the Burial Mound of Arms!
And this is where we begin!
